How to Manage Loss and Grief?

 Grief is a deeply sad feeling after a loss when someone or something you love is taken away from you:

  • Passing of family members that you had and loved like parents, children, spouse, siblings, good friends
  • Loss of money and savings that you had and loved to have
  • Loss of business that you had and loved
  • Loss of car that you loved
  • Loss of property that you loved and you had or could have in a bidding war
  • Loss of loved opportunities
How to cope with it?

Dos:
Grief, do cry if feel like it
Learn the lessons if the loss could have been avoidable
Acceptance of the loss
Move on from it, refocus
Keep up the spirit and hope for the better future
Look for and refocus on something else which is good

Don't:
  • Don't mourn for too long, spending time mourning is a natural response but make it as quick as possible
  • Don't keep thinking about it or keep reminding yourself about it
  • Don't deny
  • Don't blame yourself or anyone else
  • Don't regret
  • Don't stay in sadness and depression
  • Don't let it make you miserable in soul
